BREAKING: Supreme Court upholds Sanwo-Olu’s election as Gov of Lagos State

The Labour Party's Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour had his appeal dismissed for lack of merit, and the ruling of the Court of Appeal Lagos was upheld by the highest court.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu is the legally elected governor of Lagos State, according to the Supreme Court.

The Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour had his appeal dismissed for lack of merit, and the ruling of the Court of Appeal Lagos was upheld by the supreme court.

Preparing and delivering the lead ruling in the Lagos State governorship controversy was Justice Garba Lawal.

The other judges reading their versions are judges Inyang Okoro, Emmanuel Agim, Uwani Abba-aji, and Adamu Jauro, who comprised the panel for Lagos. Everyone agrees on the decision.

The petition, they claim, is a flagrant misuse of the legal system.
