BREAKING: Tinubu in closed door meeting with service chiefs amid PEPT judgement
President Bola Tinubu has met briefly with his service chiefs for a briefing on their activities before his projected journey to India to attend the G-20 conference, and incoming President Election Petition Tribunal judgement slated for September 6th.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Navy, Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, were present at the usual meeting at the Presidential Villa.
The President is briefed on the country’s overall security posture at the closed-door meeting at Aso Rock, which also includes an assessment of areas where service chiefs need to step up their efforts to fix gaps.
Later that day, Tinubu would travel to New Delhi, India, where he would attend the G-20 Leaders Summit.
