President Bola Tinubu has okayed Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim’s appointment as Minister of Youth, subject to Senate confirmation.
“The President has also approved Mr. Ayodele Olawande’s nomination as Minister of State for Youth, subject to confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
According to a statement made on Sunday afternoon, September 17, 2023, by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity).
“Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim is a young medical doctor who most recently served as President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF),” he said. She has also worked as the Kwara State Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Mr. Ayodele Olawande is a youth leader in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and a community development expert.” From 2019 to 2023, he was the Special Adviser to the President on Innovation in the White House.
“President Tinubu charges the above-mentioned nominees to ensure that they consistently reflect the dynamism, innovative zeal, and unyielding productivity that are synonymous with the young people of Nigeria as they discharge their duties.”
