Corpses of three siblings recovered from stationary car in Kwara

On Sunday, three children of the same parents were found dead inside a parked car in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The victims, a boy and two girls, were choked to death inside their automobile parked at No 8, Boluke Line, Zango-Kulende quarters in the Ilorin metropolis.

According to reports, the event occurred when their mother, Shade Silifat, was out shopping for noodles for their Monday morning school meals.

Before she returned at 2 p.m., the youngsters had locked themselves in the parked car and suffocated.

Silifat located their sneakers outside the parked car and alerted the alarm after forcing the doors to open.

The youngsters were then brought to Olutayo Clinic, which is near to their home, for medical assistance.

They were, however, referred to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital in Ilorin, where they were pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the three siblings were brought to a Muslim cemetery and buried according to Islamic traditions.

Attempts to contact the Kwara Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ejire Toun, to confirm the occurrence were futile because there was no response to calls and text messages to her phone at the time of filing this report.
