Crises loom in Kogi PDP as youth leader resigns

Stephen Onoji, a further member of the Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) State Working Committee, has resigned from the party.

Onoji served as the PDP Youth Leader for Kogi State up until his resignation.

Onoji thanked the party for the chance and privileges while he served as a member of the Party in a letter dated Wednesday, July 19, 2023, and sent to his ward chairman, Odolu Ward 6, Odolu, in Igalamela Odolu LGA, and made accessible to Platinum Times Nigeria.

The opposition Party has been mired in conflict ever since Senator Dino Melaye became the PDP’s nominee for the November governorship race.

Many prominent PDP members in Kogi State have submitted letters of resignation as they continue to voice their displeasure with the outcome of the governorship primary that resulted in Melaye being selected as the party’s nominee.
