Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nassr, has provided his opinions on his team’s 5-0 loss against Celta Vigo in a preseason friendly.
In Al-Nassr’s Monday loss to Celta Vigo at the Estadio Do Algarve, Ronaldo made one appearance.
The first half, which ended scoreless, featured both the former Manchester United forward and the recently recruited Marcelo Brozovic.
Gael Alonso’s 57th-minute goal broke the tie, and they were both replaced early in the second half.
Then, Jorgen Strand Larsen doubled Celta Vigo’s advantage with a spectacular 13-minute hat-trick.
Rafael Benitez’s team also received a goal from Miguel Rodriguez.
Ronaldo responded by posting a defiant message on his Instagram account after his close-range header just missed the goal to prevent Al-Nassr from taking the lead in the first half:
“First preseason game back! The hard work starts here!”
The preseason tour of Al-Nassr resumes on July 20 when they host Benfica.
