Alloy Agu, a former Nigerian international, has issued a warning to the Super Eagles before of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho on Thursday.
Agu advised Jose Peseiro’s team not to overlook Lesotho during the match, adding that they should capitalize on any scoring opportunities against the visitors.
On Thursday evening, Nigeria will host Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
The three-time African champions have won the last three meetings between the two teams.
Speaking to Complete Sports, Agu said,
“The Super Eagles know the importance of this fixture and I know they will be going for the three points.
“This is not a time to underestimate the capability of Lesotho but for Nigeria to take every goal-scoring chance that comes their way.
“A big win for the team will definitely send a message to other teams in our group.”
