Drama as wheelbarrow pusher commits suicide after allegedly killing tax collector over N50 in Edo

A wheelbarrow pusher has killed a tax collector on Mission Road in Oredo Local Government Area of Benin City, Edo State.

The unidentified wheelbarrow pusher stabbed the tax collector to death before committing suicide.

According to reports, the incident prompted homeowners and business owners to close their doors quickly.

This followed an argument between the wheelbarrow pusher and the tax collector over the former’s apparent reluctance to pay the N50 daily ticket.

Apparently enraged by the debate, the revenue collector kicked the wheelbarrow containing the bags of goods.

The wheelbarrow pusher responded by pulling out a dagger and stabbing the tax collector to death.

According to DAILY TRUST, the wheelbarrow pusher stabbed himself in the neck after realizing the tax collector had died.
