Edo APC primaries: Angry protesters storm party secretariat, demand sack of state excos

On Monday, some enraged youths and women stormed the All Progressives Congress Secretariat on Airport Road in Benin City, Edo State, demanding the removal of state executive members led by acting Chairman Jarret Tenebe.
Led by the party’s Youth Leader, Tony Adun, often known as Kabaka, the enraged demonstrators forced their way inside the offices, bringing furniture, bags of rice, and other equipment, vowing to stay for seven days.
Adun stated that they were protesting the officials’ conduct at the party’s primary election on Saturday, which resulted in three winners.
Recall that Senator Professor Oserheimen Osunbor, one of the main contestants for the Edo APC 2024 governorship primary race, has urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the party’s approaching crisis following a faulty primary held last Saturday.
Senator Osunbor also asked for the cancelation of the primaries, which have produced three APC gubernatorial candidates.
