EFCC storm yahoo boys hideout in Benue, nabs 14 suspect

Agents from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, have detained no less than 14 alleged internet fraudsters in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State.

This was said in a statement released by the commission’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, on Friday in Abuja.

Solomon Oloche, Aselo Wisdom, Innocent Ochola, Simon Jeff, Akula Kelvin, Innocent Raphael, Emmanuel Okanche, Atoo Michael, Ochayi Nelson, Ngutor Paul, Francis Chikodirie, Michael Tyobe, Samuel Okanche, and Patience Tseaa are included among the suspects, in his account.

He claims that a series of surveillance operations based on information about the suspects’ alleged criminal activity within the state led to their arrest.

“Items recovered from them include a Toyota Camry car, 14 iPhones, 11 Android phones, 6 laptop computers, different ATM cards, a flash drive, MTN router, Tus bike and several incriminating documents.

“The suspects have made useful statements and will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded,” he said.
