FAAN imposes nationwide ban on ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags in airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has prohibited passengers from using ‘Ghana Must Go’ sacks at all airports in the country.

According to an FAAN circular titled ‘Re: Prohibition of Usage of Ghana Must Go,’ written by Manager, Airport Services, Henok Gizachew, the ban applies specifically to passengers traveling via the country’s international airports.

According to Gizachew, the sack was banned by the authority since it cost the airlines a lot of money and harmed the airport’s conveyor belt equipment.
He stated that individuals wishing to travel with ‘Ghana Must Go’ must have the same nicely wrapped in carton or hardcover of rectangular size.

The use of the ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags has been linked to the breakdown of several of the country’s airport conveyor belt systems, putting tremendous costs on the airport authority’s shoulders.
