Mr. Felix Akinbinu, Regional Airport Manager for South West Airports and Manager of Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), has been transferred to the Airfield Services Department by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
Following the theft of runaway approach lightings at the Murtala Mohammad Airport in Lagos, he was reassigned.
In a memo announcing the relocation of Akinbinu, Mr. Kabir Mohammed, the managing director of FAAN, stated that Mr. Sunday Ayodele, who was previously the general manager of airfield services, will take over on or before July 14, 2023.
Recall that some FAAN officials were suspended after it was claimed that unidentified individuals stole the recently replaced airfield lighting systems at the domestic runway 18/36L of Murtala Muhammad Airport.
