Fake Degree Certificate: Ban affects over 15,000 students – NANS appeals to FG

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Benin Republic, has disclosed that the recent ban on schools in the region has affected approximately 15,000 students in the country.
As a result, NAN is requesting that the ban on the validity of degree diplomas from the country and Togo be lifted.
An investigative writer has discovered certificate racketeering in neighboring countries’ schools.
Following the news, the Nigerian government declared a moratorium on the recognition of degree diplomas from the countries.
However, in an interview with Channels Television on Thursday, Benin Republic NANS President Ugochukwu Favour stated that the government should accept lawfully admitted pupils.
“For now, I will say that the Federal Government should look into the issue. Now, you can’t, because it is happening in this school, punish everyone because it involved close to 15,000 students in the Benin Republic.
“I have really not validated if it has been happening for a long time. This is just like what just came out on social media and we are still trying to find out how long it has been happening,” the NANS president said. “So, that is why I set up a committee as the president to investigate it.”
