Flood: Fear grip residents as FCTA is sets to demolish Trademore Estate on Monday

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is reported to have finalized preparations to demolish a portion of the Trademore Estate on Monday, July 3, 2023, as a result of the recent flood at the Estate in Abuja’s Lugbe neighborhood.
The occupants of the Estate are already filled with fear and terrified, a local who begged to remain anonymous told Platinum Times.
Floods frequently occurred on the aforementioned Estate, causing the loss of lives and property.
However, the source claimed that any attempt by the FCTA to demolish the residents’ homes would be met with resistance.
The source said: “We have gotten hint that the FCTA has mobilised the development control unit to demolish a part of our Estate on Monday buy I can assured you that this will be resisted by the residents with everything we have,” the source stated.
