FUTMINNA lecturer Adefolalu Sherifat found dead, throat harvested

Dr. (Mrs.) Adefolalu Funmilola Sherifat, a lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences, Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna in Niger State, was discovered murdered in her home in the town’s Gbaiko Area.

This was verified to Channels Television by Professor Gbolahan Bolarin, the chairperson of the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) of the institution.

According to Professor Bolarin, her body was found early on Sunday morning after churchgoers tracked down her residence after she vanished during the service.

According to some locals, she was discovered in a pool of blood with a gash in her throat and knives next to her after forcing the entrance to her home open. The body was later taken to the mortuary by police officials.

Wasiu Abiodun, the Niger Police Command spokesman, informed Channels Television that more details regarding the event would be released when available.

Some locals claimed that the late varsity teacher’s husband, a professor at the same institution, had departed from this life.

They also said that although she had been living with a female housekeeper until her death, they had fired the girl on Friday.
