Asem Abu Rakaba, the leader of Hamas Aerial Array, has been slain by Israeli forces.

Rakaba participated in the October 7 attack on Israel’s preparations.

However, on Friday night, a fighter jet from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) brought Rakaba down.

Posting on X, IDF wrote:

“Overnight, IDF fighter jets struck Asem Abu Rakaba, the Head of Hamas’ Aerial Array.

“Abu Rakaba was responsible for Hamas’ UAVs, drones, paragliders, aerial detection and defense.

“He took part in planning the October 7 massacre and commanded the terrorists who infiltrated Israel on paragliders and was responsible for the drone attacks on IDF.”

This is coming when IDF announced that they are “expanding ground operations” in the Gaza Strip and “operating forcefully” on all fronts to fulfill its goals in the war with Hamas.

The development comes as airstrikes, bombardments continue in Gaza.

The Israel’s military conducted “targeted raids” for a second night in northern Gaza, after vowing to continue ground raids over the coming days, and amid growing humanitarian concerns about the fate of civilians in the enclave.
