I didn’t bribe Tinubu for appointment – Minister of Sports Owan Enoh
John Owan Enoh, the recently appointed Minister of Sports, has stated he did not bribe President Bola Tinubu for the position.
Enoh was responding to complaints about his lack of experience in the field.
He was given the job of 36th Minister of Sports by Tinubu despite having no prior experience in the field.
Enoh, who was involved in farming before transitioning, said he is improving, though.
Speaking to Daily Trust immediately after entering office, the 57-year-old said:
“I didn’t lobby to be sports minister.
“President Bola Tinubu saw me fit and decided to put the task of building sports in Nigeria.
“Since I was assigned this portfolio, I have been reading about sports.”
