Impeachment saga: Tinubu has moved to resolve issues between Wike, Fubara – Gov. Bala Mohammed

On Tuesday, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed revealed that President Bola Tinubu had stepped in to mediate the disagreement between Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Mohammed revealed that Rivers State’s political unrest was put down by Tinubu.

He made this statement while briefing State House Correspondents during a National Police Council meeting held in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, which was chaired by Tinubu.

Mohammed added that it seemed like Tinubu’s intervention would bring about peace while he was speaking with Wike and Fubara.

According to Mohammed:

“President Tinubu has shown that he is President for PDP and APC. We are going to work with him.”

Fubara and Wike met at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday morning.

The duo reportedly fell out less than six months after the succession.

Wike’s loyalists in the Rivers House of Assembly had moved to impeach Fubara but the governor resisted.
