Injury: Ndidi ruled out of Lesotho, Zimbabwe 2026 WCQ clash
According to Platinum Times, Wilfred Ndidi would be sidelined for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe because of an injury.
Prior to Leicester City’s Sky Bet Championship match against Leeds United, manager Enzo Maresca of the Foxes disclosed that midfielder has a muscle issue.
“Wilf will be out until the international break. It is also a muscular problem,”Maresca was quoted by the club’s official website.
“It’s a small thing but when the problem is muscular, even if it’s small, it’s always one week or two weeks because we don’t want to take any risks.”
Talismanic striker Victor Osimhen is also ruled out for the game, while there are concerns over the availability of defenders Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi.
The Super Eagles will host the Crocodiles of Lesotho on Friday, November 17.
Jose Peseiro’s side will travel away to Zimbabwe for their matchday two encounter three days later.
The game is slated for Huye Stadium.
