Ireland defender sends warning to Super Falcons ahead of clash

Louise Quinn, a defender for the Republic of Ireland, had issued a warning that they wouldn’t play it safe in their last group match against the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

After losing to the co-hosts Australia and Canada, the Girls in Green are already out of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Despite the unfavorable results in their previous two games, Vera Pauw’s team played hard.

The debutants, according to Quinn, want to wrap up the competition in style.

They will need to be on the lookout for us in many ways, as we’ve demonstrated against the two best teams in this group, Australia and Canada, she told Sky Sports.

On Monday at Lang Park in Brisbane, Nigeria will square off against the Republic of Ireland. It starts at 11 a.m. Nigerian time.
