The Senate’s Chief Whip, Senator Ali Ndume, has disclosed that the presidential boat contract included in the supplemental budget has already been signed and delivered.
Ndume made this statement on Friday, November 3 during an appearance on Arise TV.
The federal senator claims that the deal’s acquisition by the APC administration is what made its inclusion in the supplemental budget necessary.
He said: “The deal has been signed and delivered, but not paid, and that’s what brought the inclusion of the amount (N5 billion) in the supplementary budget.”
Platinum Times Nigeria reported that President Tinubu’s N5 billion presidential yacht included in the supplementary budget was transferred to a student loan by the House of Representatives. Abubakar Bichi, the chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, disclosed this on Thursday, November 2, after lawmakers passed the N2.17 trillion supplementary budget.
