JUST IN: Tinubu departs Abuja for working visit in Borno

President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja for Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.

The President departed early today from the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The flight left around 10:35 a.m.

Tinubu’s first trip to the country’s north-eastern area since gaining president.

He is set to be the Special Guest of Honour at the Nigerian Army Annual Conference.

According to NTA, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, has announced the arrangements of the inaugural ceremony.

An address to the troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, an inspection of the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri, and the laying of the foundation stone for Headquarters 7 Division will all take place during the occasion.

The Special Guest of Honor will be in charge of these activities.
