Gabriel Dawang, a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly representing Pankshin North, has been elected Speaker on Tuesday.
His emergence came as a result of the resignations of former Speaker Moses Sule and his deputy, Gwottaon Fom.
Timothy Dantong, who represents the Riyom seat, was also elected as the Assembly’s new Deputy Speaker.
