Lagos police identify personnel asking for tinted glass permit in viral video

Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, responded on Sunday to a viral video showing plainclothes individuals asking a tinted glass permit for a driver.
According to Adejobi, the police officers have been tracked down and identified, and an inquiry is underway.
In the footage, men exiting a white vehicle are heard demanding the driver for his car’s tinted permission.
The driver states,
“It’s a factory tinted glass and I can’t remember the last time police asked me for a tinted permit because that was canceled two years ago.”
When asked about the police division, a voice responds,
“We are from state CID Zone 2, V I here. Please, can you give me your tinted permit, sir?”
Reacting to the video on Sunday, Adejobi said, “These policemen have been traced to Zone 2 and identified. The AIG Zone 2 Lagos is investigating. While the PPRO Zone 2, Lagos will speak to it as soon as possible.
