Man hangs self to death in Adamawa
A young man committed suicide in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
Residents discovered the boy, a resident of Rumde Baru in Yola’s Jimeta District, hanging on Saturday.
People in the region awoke to find the lifeless body swinging from a tree branch.
Some residents in the area claimed to have attended the deceased’s morning Islamic prayer in a Mosque.
The aforementioned morning prayer is normally performed about 4 a.m.
As of press time, it was unclear why the young man decided to hang himself.
SP Suleiman Nguroje, the state Police Public Relations Officer, responded by saying that inquiries into the incident had begun.
“Following the report received on the incident of a young boy that hanged himself around Rumde Baru, Yola North Local Government Area, the Command’s crime officers were deployed by the Commissioner of Police now working in collaboration with medical experts to investigate the circumstances leading to the commission of the act,” Nguroje stated.
