Mbappe makes U-turn, set to sign fresh deal with PSG
According to Foot Mercato, forward Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain is negotiating a new deal with the organization.
This comes after the 24-year-old was reinstated to the first-team roster by the Ligue 1 winners.
After making it clear he would not sign a contract extension with PSG, Mbappe was demoted to the reserves.
Club president Nasser Al Khelaifi reportedly informed the players in a meeting on Sunday that “Kylian is invested in the club” and is now at the manager Luis Enrique’s disposal.
Mbappe has now started discussing a contract extension.
Mbappe would be committed to Les Parisiens until 2025, but it would just be a one-year contract extension.
A departure clause may also be agreed upon privately by the parties. The prolific forward would leave the French capital the next summer, likely for Real Madrid, and pay PSG a sizable transfer price.
