Ministerial list: Ohanaeze faction hails Tinubu over Umahi’s nomination

Senator Dave Umahi’s appointment as a member of President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, according to a group of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, was a calculated attempt to “inject Igbo innovation and entrepreneurial spirit into President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda.”

Umahi would perform better if given the ministry of Works and Transportation, according to the organization’s Secretary General Okechukwu Isiguzoro.

According to a statement by Isiguzoro, Tinubu’s decision to include Umahi showed how much he regarded commitment to party supremacy, hard effort, and devotion.

In Ebonyi State and throughout South-East Nigeria, he added, there was tremendous excitement in response to the news of Umahi’s nomination as Tinubu’s Minister-designate.

Isiguzoro also thanked other South-East Asian minister-designates while advising them to act as good ambassadors.

According to Isiguzoro:

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, congratulates Senator Dave Nweze Umahi on this achievement.

“We view it as evidence that President Tinubu values obedience, loyalty, hard work, and dedication. Umahi’s obedience in withdrawing from the Senate Presidency contest, as advised by the President, is recognized and appreciated by President Tinubu and Ndigbo.

“There are hopes that if given the Ministry of Works, Umahi will bring about transformative changes to Nigeria, similar to what he achieved during his tenure as the Governor of Ebonyi State.

“Ndigbo are optimistic that Umahi’s track records of infrastructural development in Ebonyi State during his tenure as Governor will be replicated on a national scale if he is given the Ministry of Works or Transport.

“Ndigbo emphasize the importance of deploying Umahi’s wealth of experience to address the infrastructural decay in Nigeria.”
