Requirements for NHIS Recruitment:

The following are the primary requirements for full-time employment:

  • Behave well and maintain your composure.
  • Be open to adjusting to new work settings.
  • Having a legitimate form of identification is required (such as a driver’s license, ID card, passport, voter’s card, or NIN Number).
  • Great teamwork abilities
  • Evidence of your NYSC exemption or certificate
  • Possess a valid practice license issued by the appropriate Regulatory Council
  • Possess complete registration with the relevant Regulatory Council.
  • A post-graduate degree in family medicine, public health, health planning, or management is an advantage for higher positions.
  • You need to possess credentials that have been approved by the relevant councils if you want to work in professions like nursing, pharmacy, medicine, or laboratory science
  • Experience and expertise in monitoring and evaluating healthcare facilities and services are preferred attributes
  • Depending on the position, years of experience above the entry level may be necessary.

Steps to Apply:

Write an application letter and create a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).

Make photocopies of your certificates.
Write the Application/State Code on the envelope.

Address your application to the Executive Secretary/CEO, National Health Insurance Scheme, Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.

Send the soft copy of your application to info@nhis.gov.ng.

Submit the hard copy to your preferred NHIS state office (addresses can be found on the official website at www.nhis.gov.ng).

Only shortlisted candidates will move on to the next phase, and you’ll be notified via email.

Screening for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled, with details sent via email.
