According to Platinum Times Nigeria, the 2023–24 Nigeria National League (NNL) regular season would begin in September.
During the Kano relegation playoffs, George Aluo, the NNL chairman, revealed this in a conversation with newsmen.
The stakeholders in the league will meet later this month to settle on the league’s format, according to information obtained by DAILY POST.
Heartland won the championship in the Championship playoff during the 2022–23 NNL season, which was played under a condensed league structure.
“We congratulate the teams that maintained their stay in the NNL,” Aluo told newsmen at the Mahaha Sports Complex.
“We hope to meet again later in September when the league commences. We say our byes to the relegated teams for better luck next time.”
