The Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee, or NWC, has approved the appointment of Mr Ajisafe Toyese of Osun State as the party’s National Vice Chairman, South West.
Mr Debo Ologunagba, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, made the announcement in a statement released to journalists in Abuja on Saturday.
He stated that the selection of Toyese was approved by the party’s Working Committee on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC).
He went on to say that Toyose’s appointment came after the tragic death of the zone’s former Vice Chairman, Mr Soji Adagunodo, on May 20, 2023.
“The appointment was ratified at the recent meeting of the South West Zonal caucus of the party in accordance with the provision of Section 46 of the Constitution of the party as amended in 2017,” he said.
The party described Toyese as a loyal party member who diligently served the PDP as a member of the 2023 Presidential Campaign Council.
