Victor Osimhen of Nigeria and Napoli has made it to the final ten shortlist for the CAF Player of the Year award in 2023.
On Friday, CAF released the final ten shortlist on its C account.
Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Achraf Hakimi, Yacine Bounou, and Riyad Mahrez are among those who made the cut.
Sofyan Amrabat, Vincent Aboubakar, Zambo Aguissa, and Youssef En-Nesyri are all in the running for the award.
Gent Gift Orban, a Nigerian striker, failed not make the final five nominees for the 2023 CAF Young Player of the Year award.
Osimhen is currently recovering from a hamstring injury suffered in the Super Eagles’ friendly against Saudi Arabia.
He will miss Thursday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho in Uyo due to the injury.
On December 11, 2023, the CAF Player Award will be presented in Marrakech, Morocco.
