PDP Governors forum set to hold first meeting in Abuja to discuss state of the Nation, other issues

To discuss the state of the country, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has scheduled a meeting.
The gathering, which takes place on Tuesday in Abuja, is the forum’s first following the general elections of 2023.
Platinum Times was informed that, the governors would likely talk about the state of the country, the policies of the newly elected All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, and the ongoing crisis that has engulfed the party since the 2016 presidential primaries.
According to reports, the governors may also form a committee to attempt and end the party’s crisis and make amends with party heavyweights who have been acting against the party’s interests.
According to the meeting notice issued by Hon. CID Maduabum, Director General, PDP Governors Forum, the Governors would conduct their first meeting on Tuesday in Abuja under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed.
The meeting is the Forum’s first since Governors Bala Mohammed and Seminalayi Fubara were chosen as Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively, in June, according to the DG.
According to him, the Forum is expected to cover the state of the country, particularly recent political, social, and economic changes.
“The meeting will also discuss the State of the Forum, the Party and the role of the PDP Governors in stabilising the PDP and the nation.
“In addition, the new leadership of the Forum may likely unfold their unity and progressive agenda during the meeting,” he said.
