Peter Obi still the solution to Nigerias Problem – Obasanjo

According to former president Olusegun Obasanjo, Peter Obi of the Labour Party is still the front-runner for a better Nigeria in the presidential election on February 25.

The All Progressives Congress candidate and current president, Bola Tinubu, was proclaimed the election’s victor by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in March.

Following the announcement, opposition parties and their candidates, notably LP and Obi, filed lawsuits to contest the methodology used to select Tinubu as the winner.

Although President Tinubu was declared the victor of the most recent election, former President Obasanjo stated that Obi is still the candidate the nation needs in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.

“Peter Obi is still the best candidate for the Nigeria that I believe we need to have at this point in time,” he declared.

The former president was asked about what he believed to be his greatest accomplishment, and he responded, “That I came here [earth] and God was immeasurably kind to me and showed His grace on me.”

Obasanjo also discussed the infamous third-term scandal that occurred during his presidency, indicating certain governors were responsible.

The governors, he claimed, “were doing it for themselves in some cases.”

“Because they too would have had a chance for a third term if the president had run for a third term.
