The body of late Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has arrived in Nigeria.
The jet carrying Akeredolu arrived at 3:39 p.m. on Friday.
The late governor’s body was carried into Nigeria from Germany, where he died.
The remains was welcomed by his wife, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, his children, and siblings, led by Prof. Wole Akeredolu, his immediate younger brother, according to the Platinum Times.
The body was received by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde; Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbi Talabi; and a representative of Osun State Governor, Senator Demola Adeleke.
According to Platinum Times, Akeredolu died on December 26, 2023, in Germany.
His bones were kept at the mortuary until his final burial.
