Police storm kidnappers den, arrest seven, others in Bauchi

According to the Bauchi State Police Command, seven renowned kidnapping syndicates terrorizing the local communities in  Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state have been apprehended in cooperation with local hunters.

During a raid on various “hide outs” in Babarko village, Pali district, and Yalo Karekare Digare Gwana villages, the command captured the suspected kidnappers.

Isah Gambo (age 25), Hamza Ali (age 26), Ali Isyaku (age 27), and Danlami Isyaku (age 30) are the suspects.

The other three were from the villages of Mansur and Papa Yalo: Abubakar Isyaku, 25, Adamu Alh, 30, and Usman Dan Asibi, 30.

One pump action, an AK-47 rifle, a locally produced revolver handgun, and other items were recovered from them.

Their arrest was announced in a statement provided to media by the command’s spokesman, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil.

The police investigation, according to the statement, established that the suspects were the infamous kidnappers harassing the Alkaleri village.

According to reports, the accused have admitted to the crimes.

They will be charged to court for prosecution after a discrete investigation, according to the statement.
