Irate youths in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja phase 2, Gwagwalada neighbourhood have reportedly lynched an unidentified man for allegedly snatching a resident’s manhood.
After an inquiry on Friday, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed this to Platinum Times.
According to the PPRO, when the victim was being lynched, operatives of the command attached to Gwagwalada Police Divisional Headquarters were summoned to save him, but he was subsequently declared dead in a hospital where he was brought.
She said that the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna G. Garba, had issued a warning about circulating false information on suspected organ disappearances.
According to her, such rumors cause public worry and break the peace throughout the territory.
She also corroborated a similar event involving Rokeeb Saheed, who accused Lucky Josiah, another neighbor, of stealing his manhood.
According to the PPRO, Saheed’s male organ was “confirmed to be fine, and Josiah’s injuries were treated” after medical testing.
