1. PEPT: Heavy security presence at Appeal Court in Abuja

Security personnel had effectively surrounded the area and the roads leading to the Court of Appeal offices in Abuja as of Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.

Prior to Wednesday’s decision, men from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) were observed transporting items from the neighboring Force Headquarters to the Appeal Court headquarters, where the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) was sitting.

By 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, traffic on several of the highways going to court had been significantly reduced.

Access to the Three-Arms-Zone, where the court is located, will reportedly be limited starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

“Our personnel and resources have been appropriately mobilized for the exercise on Wednesday. We don’t expect any problems. We wish the politicians and those who support them well-behaved behavior.

“After the sessions, we’ll talk and collectively evaluate the situation. I’m hoping everything works out,” the official stated. the country

 

2. PEPT: Media houses mounts equipments for Live broadcast

Television stations are seen setting up their outdoor broadcast equipment in anticipation of the ruling in the three petitions that challenge the announcement of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the victor of the February 25 presidential election tomorrow.

The decision will be broadcast live by interested television stations for the public to watch, the Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal, Umar Mohammed Bangari, announced on Monday. This would encourage transparency and openness.

Only accredited individuals, including attorneys and members of political parties, would be allowed entry to the courtroom, according to Bangari. entry to the court grounds will be solely based on accreditation.

The Court of Appeal Chief Registrar urged interested members of the public to watch proceedings on television while pleading for the public’s full cooperation to guarantee a smooth exercise.

Arise Television, Channels Television, and the NTA television station OBS crew were all seen putting up their equipment at around 3 p.m. today in preparation for the verdict tomorrow.

The staff of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), led by the court’s secretary, Mrs. Josephine J. Ekperobe, was visible working tirelessly to make sure everything was in place for a judgment that went off without a hitch.

In their various petitions, Peter Obi and his party, the Labour Party, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are requesting the annulment of Tinubu’s election due to serious violations of the Constitution, the Electoral Act, and INEC’s rules for conducting the presidential election, as well as Kashim Shettima’s double nomination.

Due to the military roadblock set up in front of Kugbo mechanic village, security was tight along the route going to the town from the Nyanya axis of Abuja.

The journey from Nyanya to Abuja’s center took hours for drivers. The military checkpoint, according to many, was caused by the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Court, which is expected tomorrow morning.
