Killer Mike, a rapper and social activist, was detained Sunday evening at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, where he won three prized awards.
The artist, Michael Render, was arrested on a minor battery charge, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Killer Mike is one half of the legendary rap duo Run the Jewels. The artist won three Grammys on Sunday, including best rap album for “Michael,” best rap performance and best rap song for his single “Scientists and Engineers.”
