Report: De Gea, Bayern Munich deal collapses

The transfer of David de Gea to Bayern Munich has been abandoned.
After departing Manchester United this summer, the Spaniard is currently an unsigned free agent.
Following a string of notable mistakes made last season, Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag made the decision to let De Gea leave.
As a result of Manuel Neuer’s injury and Yann Sommer’s transfer to Inter Milan, De Gea was then associated with the Bundesliga winners.
Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Bayern Munich, has since blocked the 32-year-old’s transfer.
Sky Sports reporter, Florian Plettenberg tweeted:
“FC Bayern will also not sign David De Gea. It’s decided. Tuchel has vetoed it, especially since a return of Manuel Neuer is expected within the next few weeks.
“As reported: Tuchel was pushing for (Manchester City deputy Stefan) Ortega and had a phone call with him – but the deal is close to being off now.
“Talks with De Gea took place. He was willing to join FC Bayern. But it’s off now.”
