Saudi Arabia holds Super Eagles to a 2-2 draw

In a Friday evening international friendly, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia drew 2-2.

Jose Peseiro’s team will play two games during this window as they get ready for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place the following year.

Salman Al-Faraj’s goal gave the Asian nation the lead over the Super Eagles in the 60th minute.

Abdulelah Al-Amri’s own goal brought the three-time African champions even before Kelechi Iheanacho’s strike from just inside the box gave them the lead.

Mohammaed Kanno’s free-kick slammed in the game-tying goal for Saudi Arabia in the 100th minute of the match, however.

Next week, Nigeria will play Mozambique in another friendly match.
