S’Court verdict: Gov. Adeleke sends message to President Tinubu

Governor Ademola Adeleke congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the Supreme Court’s confirmation of his election, stating that it is now imperative for Nigerians to come together.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and their respective presidential candidates from the previous election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi, had their petitions denied by the supreme court on Thursday, as Platinum Times remembers.
The two had attempted to reverse the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) proclamation and contested President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the poll held on February 25.
However, the Supreme Court rejected the appeal, ruling that fresh evidence could not be presented during the appeals process.
“Our judicial system has once again proven itself in tackling disputes that arise from our elections,” Adeleke said in a congrats message sent in Osogbo by his spokeswoman, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.
The answers to the issues surrounding the 2023 presidential election, according to Adeleke, will provide Nigeria’s numerous problems emphasis. She also highlighted the finality of the high court’s decision on these disputes.
He applauded the leading opposition candidate for his efforts to test their accusations in court and expand the nation’s electoral jurisprudence.
“On behalf of the good people of Osun State, I congratulate President Tinubu on his judicial victory at the apex court.
“It is my hope that your administration will bring progress, unity, and prosperity to our nation, and I want to restate my commitment to partner with you in offering good governance for our people,” he said.
