Senate to receive Tinubu’s Ministerial list in 48hrs – Senate Leader reveals

The much anticipated ministerial list will be delivered to the Senate within the next 48 hours, according to Senate Leader Micheal Opeyemi Bamidele.

During his lecture and book presentation in Abuja for his 60th birthday milestone, he disclosed this information.

Bamidele disclosed that, during a phone call to wish him well on his birthday, President Bola Tinubu personally told him of this event.

He claimed that President Tinubu informed him that he would be unable to attend the birthday talk because he had urgent information to submit to the Senate within the next 48 hours.

The ministerial list, which will detail the people proposed for ministerial positions in the government, is anticipated to be included in this letter.

In a speech, Prof. Toyin Ogundipe, a former vice chancellor of the University of Lagos, urged political office holders to scale back the number of vehicles in their convoys as a sign of compassion for the struggling Nigerian people.

He emphasized that as long as there is a significant police presence, organizations like the Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) shouldn’t be accompanying President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Ogundipe said: “There is need for our leaders to reduce the number of vehicles in their convoy so that Nigerians will know that you feel their pains.

“There is nothing VIO, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) are doing in the entourage of the President and Vice President once you have police in the convoy.”
