Senator Abbo reveal those behind his sack by Appeal Court

Elisha Abbo, the former Adamawa North senator, has claimed that Senate President Godswill Akpabio had a hand in the Appeal Court judgement that removed him from office.

In response to the court’s decision, Abbo alleged that four other senators who worked against Akpabio’s election as Senate President had been targeted for removal from the Senate by the court.

The former Senator made the assertion during a conversation with journalists on Monday in Abuja.

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (APC Abia North) was named as the next target for removal from the Senate by Abbo.

“I have it from a reliable source that myself and four other senators within the fold of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will be removed from the Senate through rulings from the courts, all because of working against the emergence of Akpabio as President of the 10th Senate.

“I won’t mention the names of all the four other ones targeted but the next in line is Senator Orji Uzor Kalu,” he said.

“The court judgement is strange and the judiciary needs to please remain the last hope of the common man,” Abbo added.

Platinum Times recalls that the Court of Appeal voided Abbo’s election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The court presided over by Justice C.E. Nwosu-Iheme ruled that Amos Yohanna, who contested under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, platform, is the validly elected lawmaker for the senatorial district.
