Sergio Busquets, a recent addition to Inter Miami, has claimed that the visit he made there with Barcelona last summer may have influenced his choice to sign with the American team.
On Monday, Busquet was formally introduced as an Inter Miami player.
After his contract with Barcelona expired last month, the seasoned midfielder left Barcelona and signed with Inter Miami on a free transfer.
For the first time, Busquets addressed the media for Inter Miami, saying, “This is a special and exciting chance that I am extremely excited to take.
“I was impressed by the Club when I came with Barcelona last year and now I am happy and ready to represent the Club myself.”
Busquets’s move to Miami sees him reunite with his former Barcelona teammate, Lionel Messi.
