Jose Peseiro, head coach of the Super Eagles, has agreed to a contract extension, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) stated on Sunday.
The NFF’s previous agreement with Peseiro expired in June.
The Portuguese has now consented to stay in the position after initially agreeing to a pay reduction.
According to the revised agreements, the 62-year-old will also coach the Super Eagles of their own country.

The coach has been given the task of guiding the Super Eagles to the semi-finals of the upcoming 34th Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles have already qualified for the AFCON finals in 2023.
The last qualifying match between the three-time African champions and Sao Tome and Principe will take place on Sunday.
