Supreme Court to issue final judgment on Atiku, Obi’s petition against Tinubu October 26

The Supreme Court has finally set Thursday, October 26, as the deadline for issuing final decisions in the two cases that remain, which contest the validity of the declaration of President Bola Tinubu as the victor of the most recent presidential election.
These are the petitions that Peter Gregory Obi of the Labour Party, LP, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, filed to run for president.
Dr. Awemeri Festus Akande, the Supreme Court’s Director of Press and Information, verified the news on Wednesday.
According to him, sufficient security measures have been put in place to guard against security lapses both inside and outside the courthouse.
On Monday, attorneys for the parties to the petitions presented their closing arguments to a seven-member panel of Justices of the Court chaired by Justice John Inyang Okoro.
The Justices then withheld their verdicts.
