Tears flow as ambulance kill three in Abia

A black-colored Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) utilized for ambulance services was involved in an accident in Abia State’s Obingwa Local Government Area, killing three people.

The collision occurred on Thursday in front of Dacoo Petrol Station in Umuafukwu/Umuagwa village, along Ikot Ekpene Road in Obingwa LGA.

According to the DAILY POST, the ambulance, which was claimed to be traveling at top speed before the accident, collided with some tricycles and motorcycles, killing three people and badly injuring others.

It was unknown if the ambulance driver was inebriated because he continued to speed after the accident until racing into a neighboring thicket, where his car eventually stopped.

Villagers and other allies who sobbed excessively after the disaster bemoaned the victims’ tragic deaths.

The locals asked drivers on the busy road to obey all road safety procedures.

Meanwhile, the injured individuals have been sent to a hospital for treatment.

The event comes just a few days after a 40-foot container fell off a truck in Aba’s Ogbo Hill region, destroying numerous vehicles and killing some people.
