According to Rochas Okorocha, a former governor of Imo State, he and Emeka Ihedioha, the immediate former governor of the state, have no political ties.
Okorocha claimed that his relationship with Ihedioha had nothing to do with politics when he spoke with a small group of journalists at his Spilbat mansion in Owerri, the state capital.
The former governor claimed that people who were exaggerating his recent visit to Ihedioha’s home in Mbaise were doing it incorrectly.
When asked by a news reporter what the current mutual relationship between him and Ihedioha meant, Okorocha, the state’s ruler from 2011 to 2019, responded that there was nothing particularly exceptional politically about him and Ihedioha.
I don’t have a political infatuation with Ihedioha, Okorocha declared. Both currently and in the future, I do not have any. I went to Ihedioha’s residence because his mother had passed away. I had to empathize with him in his time of need because I understand what it’s like to lose a mother. It’s from the Bible. It has nothing unique about it.
