Tinubu holds meeting with Ramaphosa in New York (photo)

 

President Bola Tinubu met with his South African counterpart, President Cyril Ramaphosa, in New York on Monday for what has been characterized as a very constructive cross-sectoral debate.

Tinubu arrived in the city of the UN headquarters on Monday to join other world leaders attending the 78th United Nations General Assembly in the United States.

Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, stated in a statement that President Tinubu is anticipated to meet with other presidents during the Assembly, which runs till September 26.

“H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held a very fruitful, cross-sectoral discussion with South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa as the first of many bilateral engagements with counterparts from multiple continents in New York City, ahead of the UN General Assembly.
