Tinubu inaugurates new chairs of the civil service commission, ICPC

Dr. Musa Adamu Aliu, who was just confirmed by the Nigerian Senate, was inaugurated as the new chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday.

After Tinubu granted the former chairman’s request to take a pre-end-of-tenure leave starting on November 4, 2023, in advance of his tenure expiring on February 3, 2024, Aliu was nominated.

Along with eleven federal commissioners, Prof. Tunji Olaopa was also sworn in by Tinubu as the FCSC’s chairman.

The FCSC’s federal commissioners, Dr. Daudu Ibrahim Jalo, Obong Ededet Eyoma, Dr. Charmberlain Nwele, Rufus N. Godwins, Dr. Adamu Hussien, and Aminu Nabegu, were sworn in prior to the Federal Executive Council meeting.

The others are Dr. Festus Oyebade, Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan, Odekunle Rukiyat Aduke, Shehu Aliyu, and Hindatu Abdullahi.

In the meantime, the President is presiding over the FEC meeting, which is taking place in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
